COLUMBIA — The Missouri gymnastics team has added two names to next season's roster after receiving letters of intent to compete for the Tigers from recruits Anna Bowers and Mikayla Walsh.

Bowers, who is from Matthews, N.C., and competed for National Elite Gymnastics in Austin, Texas, has excelled in both Level 9 and 10 Junior Olympic competition. In 2012, after earning a third place on the uneven bars in Level 10 regional competition, she earned a seventh place finish on bars at the Level 10 national meet.

Walsh, who is from Skokie, Ill., and competed for Phenom Gymnastics in Oswego, Ill., was a fourth-place finisher on vault at the 2013 Illinois State Championships. She has Level 10 career-bests of 9.725 on vault and 37.300 in the all-around.
