Friday, June 21, 2013 | 12:45 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — Columbia Transit will adopt a modified summer schedule for the FastCAT 107 routes beginning July 1 and ending Aug. 17. The route completes a circuit through MU and downtown Columbia.

The FastCAT will begin operation at 6:40 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and it will not run at all on Sundays.

The final departure will be at 6:10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 8:40 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 6:40 p.m. on Saturday.

In the regular schedule, transportation began at 6:25 a.m. on weekdays and ends no earlier than 10:15 p.m.

Current ridership doesn't support later hours on weekends or any Sunday services, according to a Columbia Public Works news release.

Supervising editor is Hannah Wiese.
