Man shot in leg during incident on Bodie Drive

COLUMBIA — A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg early Sunday morning after officers received a call about shots fired at a large party in the 1500 block of Bodie Drive.

Officers responded to the call at 1 a.m. Sunday and did not find anyone involved in the shooting at the scene. The caller reported that four to five shots were fired.

The man who was shot was taken to University Hospital by car. His injuries were not life-threatening, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

Officers found shell casings in front of 1505 Greensboro Drive. They do not yet have a suspect or a vehicle description.
