A tractor-trailer hit power lines at Rock Quarry Road and Rolling Rock Drive on Wednesday afternoon.

COLUMBIA — A tractor-trailer became entangled with power lines Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Rock Quarry Road and Rolling Rock Drive, according to a news release from Brad Frazier, Columbia fire marshal.

No one was injured, according to the release.

A telephone pole was split in half by the truck after the driver took a wrong turn while trying to return to the interstate, according to the release.

Mediacom and Boone Electric were contacted to fix the power and cable television lines. The electricity in Rolling Rock Townhomes was unaffected, but TV cable and Internet were unavailable in some parts of the neighborhood.

The truck is owned by Jack's Trucking, which works for U.S. Xpress Enterprises, according to the release.
