Patricia Lorene Geren, Aug. 10, 1926 — July 8, 2013

Patricia Geren, 86, of Columbia, MO passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Funeral Services will be 2:30 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Campus Lutheran Church, 304 S College Ave, Columbia, MO. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 –2:15 PM on Thursday. Burial will be Monday, July 15, 2013 in Michigan Memorial Park Flat Rock, Michigan.

Pat was born August 10, 1926 in Wyandotte, MI to Cecil and Esther Beardsley Farrell. On October 12, 1946 she married Arthur Samuel Geren in Wyandotte. They moved to Detroit for a few years and later to DesPlains, IL, where they lived for 28 years. While there, she worked as an office manager and computer operator for McWilliams Electric Company. Upon retirement, 24 years ago, she and Art moved to Columbia to live in the Lenoir Community where they reside today.

Pat was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known to be a quick-witted and kind woman who was slow to anger.

She is survived by her husband; Art, son-in-law; David Schlesselman of St. Peters, MO, grandchildren; Jennifer (Rob) Jacklin of Ballwin, MO, Denise Schlesselman of Warrenton, MO, and Randall (Dawn) Schlesselman of Arnold, MO, and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son; William Geren and daughter; Gaye Schlesselman.
