No one injured in Conley Walmart robbery Saturday

COLUMBIA — The Walmart at 415 Conley Road was robbed early Saturday morning, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

Upon investigating, officers learned that a man came into the store and demanded that an employee open the cash register. The man implied he had a weapon, but one was not seen. According to the release, the man was described as being black, 30 to 40 years old and 5-feet-6-inches tall with a heavy build.

The man took an undisclosed amount of money and left in a silver vehicle. No one was injured during the incident, and police are continuing to investigate.
