Carnival employees set up rides, including an 84-year-old carousel, for the Boone County Fair on Monday at the Boone County fairgrounds.

COLUMBIA — Carnival employees spent Monday constructing rides for the Boone County Fair, which will open 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Among them were Robert Kenfield and Jack Jones, who set up the 84-year-old carousel. Both said they love the carnival life, and chose this company because it is a Christian carnival group. "This is our home," Kenfield said. "This is our church."
