Police investigate armed robbery at Columbia Break Time convenience store

COLUMBIA — An armed robbery occurred Friday night at the Break Time convenience store at 4105 Vawter School Road, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

Two men with handguns entered the store at about 10:30 p.m. and demanded money from the clerk, according to the release.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and fled southbound from the shop on foot, according to the release.

No one was injured during the robbery, and no customers were inside the store. A K-9 unit attempted to track the men but was unsuccessful, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to contact the Columbia Police Department or CrimeStoppers at 875-8477.
