Landmark Bank on Stadium Boulevard robbed Monday afternoon

Monday, July 29, 2013 | 7:15 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — Police were dispatched at 3:39 p.m. Monday to Landmark Bank at 202 N. Stadium Blvd. about a robbery, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

A robber entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money, police reported. He left the scene on foot with an unspecified amount of money and headed northbound from the bank, according to the release.

The robber did not mention or display a weapon, and there were no injuries, police reported.

Police are looking for a suspect described as a 5-foot-11-inch white male, approximately 25 years old and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, jeans, sunglasses and a hat.

Calls to police for more information were not immediately returned.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact the Columbia Police Department at 442-6131 or Crime Stoppers at 875-8477.
