Two men arrested in connection with home invasion robbery

COLUMBIA — The Columbia Police Department took two men into custody in connection to a home invasion and theft Wednesday afternoon. A third man ran from the scene and had not been located by police.

A 24-year-old man alerted police on patrol at the 5100 block of Clark Lane that he was robbed at his home at the Greens Apartment Complex.

The victim said the robbers were armed at the time of the home invasion occurred, and that they had demanded money and also took other property. The victim had no injuries.

Due to the victim's description of the suspects' vehicle, police were able to pull the car over, and two men, 21 and 23 years old, were taken into custody at 1500 block of North Pin Oak Boulevard.

Police did not respond to a request for more informationt. The investigation is ongoing.
