In response to your current newsletter, I profoundly disagree with your statement that the U. S. House is not standing in the way of progress. Have you noticed that your approval rating stands at 12 percent? That's because of your obdurate opposition to anything that comes before you that would improve the lot of ordinary folks.
No, you haven't been "working hard and passing bills to address America's fragile economy and to protect all Americans"; rather, you have been wasting your time voting 38 or 39 times to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which could rescue millions of Americans who need health care.
I agree that the "facts don't match the rhetoric," but I have a completely different understanding of what that means. To my amazement, you're still banging the Benghazi drum. About the "IRS targeting American taxpayers who are expressing a point of view," do you know that progressive as well as conservative groups were asked by the IRS for additional information to support their requests for tax exemption?
In what way do Karl Rove's Crossroads Superpacs qualify as social welfare organizations, as required for 501(c)4 status? Of course, they don't qualify; they are purely political, yet they qualify for tax exemption. You should be using your time to explore why political groups, whether progressive or conservative, can become eligible for 501(c)4 status. That is the shame of the "IRS scandal."
Furthermore, sequestration has been a disaster. You could be better spending your time thinking about reasonable budgetary solutions. Also, I believe Guantanamo should be closed, so please stop opposing that.
