Daniel Kent Showers was a licensed taxidermist

COLUMBIA — Daniel Kent Showers of Versailles died Aug. 14, 2013, at University Hospital and Clinics. He was 56.

Mr. Showers was born Oct. 3, 1956, in Columbia to Robert and Norma (Wade) Showers.

Mr. Showers went to Hickman High School. He loved hunting and fishing. Later in life, he went to taxidermy school and became a licensed taxidermist.

Mr. Showers is survived by his parents, Robert and Norma Showers; a son, Paul Showers, and his wife, Keri; two sisters, Susan Plummer and her husband, Perry, and Carol White and her husband, Bob; an uncle, Richard; two aunts, Phyllis Murray and Ruth Morgan; three grandchildren, Ella, Caden and Ava Showers; two nieces; and many cousins and many very close wonderful and caring friends.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel, 1610 N. Garth Ave.
