Rock Bridge softball opens season

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge softball team opened its season Wednesday night at home with an 18-3 win over Notre Dame de Sion.

The Bruins mustered 20 hits on the night. Callie Sapp and Shelbie Atwell each went 3 for 3 at the plate. Lindsey Grant recorded four RBI.

Connor Logsdson allowed just three hits and one earned run en route to the win. In her first varsity action, sophomore Dayna Linneman earned the save.

Rock Bridge will travel Thursday to Ozark.
