COLUMBIA — Golf World magazine released it's "Top 50 Male Collegiate Players to Watch list" and named Missouri senior Emilio Cuartero as one of the 11 players to watch from the Southeastern Conference.

Last season Cuartero had the second-lowest stroke average on the roster with 72.2. He placed in the top three in five different tournaments and was the individual champion at the Farms Collegiate Invitational in February.

Over the summer, Cuartero returned to his home country of Spain and won the 2013 Spanish Amateur Championship.

Cuartero begins the fall season with the No.1 qualifying spot in Missouri's first tournament at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate on Saturday and Sunday in Verona, N.Y.
