COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge softball team fell to Ozark High School 2-1 Thursday night on the road. The loss was its first of the season and brought its record to 1-1.

Rock Bridge had the tying run on base in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings but was unable to score. Designated hitter Maddie Cole scored Rock Bridge's only run off of a fielder's choice from Rock Bridge pitcher Bree Logan.

Logan also started the game for the Bruins, allowing only four hits and one earned run. Ozark scored both of their runs on a two-run double hit into center field in the bottom of the third inning.

Rock Bridge will continue their road stand on Friday, playing a tournament in Joplin. The Bruins will face Carl Junction High School at 1 p.m.
