COLUMBIA — The Missouri women's soccer team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 4-0 win over Southeast Missouri State on Friday night.

Senior midfielder Dominique Richardson got things started for the Tigers with 25 minutes left in the first half. After a poor clearance by the visiting Redhawks, Richardson sent a powerful shot into the upper right corner of the goal.

Three minutes before halftime, freshman midfielder Lauren Selaiden put Missouri up 2-0 with a powerful header off of a cross from redshirt senior defender Sarah Thune.

Goals from junior midfielder Kaysie Clark in the 55th minute and Selaiden again in the 66th minute sealed the win for the Tigers.

Missouri will play at UMKC on Sunday before heading to the Texas A&M Tournament next weekend. The Tigers' next home game will be against Eastern Illinois at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13.
