Columbia College men's soccer team falls to Kansas Wesleyan

COLUMBIA — Columbia College men's soccer team fell to Kansas Wesleyan University 1-0 on Sunday.

The Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes opened up a 1-0 lead early in the first half off of a penalty shot after a Cougars foul. The Coyotes held on to the lead for the rest of the match, despite Columbia outshooting the Coyotes 18-6 in the game.

Columbia College held a preseason rank of 12 in the NAIA, and Kansas Wesleyan was ranked 23rd prior to the match.

Columbia College plays at Baker University at 7 p.m. Monday. The game will be held in Baldwin, Kans.
