Columbia College men's soccer ties at Baker

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College men's soccer team followed up Sunday's loss with a 1-1 tie at Baker University on Monday night, making the Cougars 1-1-1 this season. 

Columbia sophomore midfielder Inaki Suarez opened the scoring in the 25th minute with an unassisted goal, his first goal of the season. Baker responded in the 60th minute when defender Andy Griffin scored on a penalty kick after a foul by Columbia's Jacob Rocco. 

The Cougars' senior goalkeeper Matt McKenna made three saves in the match. 

Columbia is scheduled to play six consecutive games on the road before returning home to play Williams Baptist College at 7 p.m., Sept. 27.
