Battle softball loses tight matchup to Helias

The Battle High School softball team fell to the Helias Crusaders on Tuesday night, 7-6.  

After entering the seventh inning down 7-2, the Spartans battled back, scoring four runs but ultimately ending the game with a loss.

Sophomore Sam Myers and juniors Hannah Sanders and Autumn McCoy each had two hits. Freshman Katie Carey gave up four earned runs and took the loss, giving the Spartans a 0-3 record on the season. They play Tolton High School on Wednesday night on their home field at 5 p.m.
