'Gone Girl' film seeks extras in Cape Girardeau

COLUMBIA — Casting calls for extras in the 20th Century Fox film "Gone Girl" will be held in Cape Girardeau on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The casting call is looking for men and women 30 years and older, with no experience required, according to an advertisement posted on the film's website.

Those interested should submit an application on the website or attend one of the casting calls:

  • The Rose Theatre at Southeast Missouri State University between 4 and 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19
  • West Park Mall, 3049 William St., in Cape Girardeau between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20
  • The Rose Theatre between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21

The film, an adaptation of a thriller novel of the same name, is partly set in a fictional Missouri town. Ben Affleck will play a journalist who becomes a suspect in his wife's disappearance.
