Twila Leigh Jones, 71, of Columbia passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Boone Hospital Center.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Parker Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ashland, MO.

Twila was born March 27, 1942 in North Platte, NE to George Leroy and Isla Vivian Rowley Lookhart. She was a graduate of North Platte, NE high school, earned her LPN degree from Lincoln School of Nursing in Lincoln, NE and earned her RN degree in Albany, NY.

She worked as an RN at Columbia Regional Hospital for over 25 years.

Twila loved Elvis and liked to do crossword puzzles and cook.

She was married to Brian Jones and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include: a son, Robert Heckathorn of Clarksburg, Md.; a daughter, Karen Willingham of Russellville, Mo.; two brothers, George Leroy Lookhart and wife Judy of Manhattan, Kan. and Larry Gene Lookhart and wife Lynn of Columbia, MO; two sisters, Karen Chase and husband Pete of North Platte, NE and Pame White and husband Jack of San Luis Obispo, CA; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter Robyn Andrews. Memorials may be given to Cancer Research Center, 3501 Berrywood Drive, Columbia, MO 65201. Online condolences may be left for the family at
