Do you know a lot about a particular topic or task — changing a tire, growing tomatoes or meditating? Teaching kids to swim, making a killer résumé or avoiding traffic on Missouri game days?
We at the Missourian are interested in tapping into and sharing the expertise of our diverse community, and we have plans to include a how-to guide in our From Readers section. We hope people will show off their skills and teach something to the rest of us.
Get started with the list of ideas embedded below, which is in a Google document we'll continue to edit. Let us know what you think by clicking into the Google doc.
Leave a comment in the document with your ideas — or to claim one you want to contribute yourself — by going under the "insert" menu to "comment." In the comment, write what you want someone to share, whom we should ask or what you are willing to share yourself. For example, "I know a lot about how to find the best sandboxes in town. Here's my email address."
Have an idea already? Send your post — in any combination of text, photos and videos — to submissions@ColumbiaMissourian.com. Our infographics staff loves making how-to diagrams, so we might be able to throw some illustration muscle behind some ideas, as well.
It's a do-it-yourself culture, and we can't wait to see what Missourian readers know how to do.
