COLUMBIA — Missouri wrestling coach Brian Smith on Thursday announced the team's schedule for the 2013-14 season.

The team begins its season on the road Nov. 1 at North Dakota State in Fargo, N.D.

Missouri's first home match is scheduled for Dec. 6 against Ohio. After going on the road for the entire month of January, Missouri will return home Feb. 7 for a three-match home stand against Mid-American Conference opponents Buffalo, Eastern Michigan and Old Dominion.

Other notable matchups include facing former Big 12 foes Oklahoma and Oklahoma State on the road Jan. 30 and 31, respectively.

The MAC Championships are scheduled to be held March 8-9 in Akron, Ohio, and the NCAA Championships are scheduled for March 20-22 in Stillwater, Okla.

Missouri sent three wrestlers to the NCAA Championships semifinals last year.

The Tigers are coming off a strong 2012-13 season, where they finished with a 16-3 record and won the MAC championship. With four returning starters on the team, including two All-Americans in senior Alan Waters and junior Drake Houdashelt, Smith's hopes remain high for the season.

"Expectations never change," Smith said. "We have a lot of returning talent in the room already, and we brought in one of the top recruiting classes in the nation this year. Now, our focus as coaches is to recognize who gives us the best chance to compete at a high level. We will have a lot of opportunities to evaluate the talent we have in the room this year with a couple of open tournaments early on as we try to replace the spots left open from last year's seniors."
