Gerald “Jerry” Lehr, 71, of Columbia, MO passed away September 27, 2013.
He was born May 22, 1942 in Gresham, Nebraska to the late John and Lillian (Scherer) Lehr.
On June 17, 1978, he married Joan in Kansas City, MO, and she preceded him in death.
Jerry loved God, family, traveling and NASCAR. He missed his wife, Joan, greatly since her passing in 2011.
He is survived by his daughters: Yvonne Prince of Salem, MO, Becky Loftus (husband, Dale) of Ashland, NE, and Tania Mantle (husband, Aaron) of Columbia, MO; step-children, Ron Meisenheimer (fiancée, Lena) of Kansas City, MO, Ken Meisenheimer (wife, Tammy) of Lenexa, KS, Pam Meisenheimer of Columbia, MO and David Meisenheimer (wife, Kellie) of Buckeye, AZ; one brother: Leroy Lehr (wife, Marlys) of Seward, NE, uncle: Darrell Scherer (wife, Iolene) of Gibbons, MN; 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 5 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W in Columbia. A second visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 9 to 11:00 a.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd in Kansas City, with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens.
