Michael Sam named SEC Defensive Line Player of the Week

COLUMBIA — Missouri senior Michael Sam has been named the Southeastern Conference Defensive Line Player of the Week, announced by the SEC on Monday.

Sam received the award for his three-sack performance in Missouri's 41-19 win over Arkansas State on Saturday. Sam also added a forced fumble in the game.

Previous Tigers that won the award this season include juniors Markus Golden and Kony Ealy.
