Kathleen Livingston enjoyed music, cooking, gardening

COLUMBIA — Kathleen Robertson Livingston of Columbia died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013. She was 89.

She was born Jan. 29, 1924, in Nickerson, Neb., to George and Edith (Chapman) Robertson.

She married Gerald Livingston on Feb. 14, 1942.

Mrs. Livingston was a homemaker, a mother of four and a grandmother and great-grandmother of many. She was active in her church, and she played the keyboard for the Nashville Country Church Band. Her other hobbies included music, cooking, gardening, reading and traveling.

Mrs. Livingston is survived by two sons, Jerry Livingston and his wife, Sharon, of Columbia; Bill Livingston and his wife, Victoria, of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters, Gayle Livingston of Columbia and Patty Payne and her husband, Mike, of Frisco, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Gerald Livingston; two sisters, Doris Rezac and Mildred Bahner; and two brothers, Carol Robertson and Kenneth Robertson, died earlier.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W., followed by a funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Olean Cemetery in Olean.
