COLUMBIA — A cut gas line at the Sam's Club on Conley Road closed part of the store Saturday morning.

Sam's Club employees cleared a portion of the store after finding the ruptured gas line and called Ameren Missouri and the Columbia Fire Department to the scene, Fire Department Capt. John Metz said.

Metz said Columbia police were called to the scene to investigate the source of the damage.

Officers were later recalled to the scene when Ameren workers found that a second gas meter and line at the store had been vandalized.
