Helias trounces Rock Bridge football 59-21

JEFFERSON CITY — The Rock Bridge football team suffered a crushing defeat Saturday night, losing to Helias Catholic 59-21.

Helias was leading 31-14 at halftime before pulling away with the score, outscoring Rock Bridge (4-2) 28-7 in the second half.

Senior wide receiver Zach Reuter scored two of the Bruins' three touchdowns. His first came in the first quarter on a 31-yard pass from junior quarterback Logan Twehous. His second was a 16-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter.

Up next for Rock Bridge is another tough road test against Rockhurst, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. next Friday.
