Cars from a variety of time periods made an appearance Sunday at the 39th Annual Old Wheels Car Show in Nifong Park. The event attracted car enthusiasts of all ages eager to learn about the historic vehicles.

COLUMBIA — Fans of historic cars turned out to Nifong Park Sunday to learn about the models featured at the Old Wheels Car Club's 39th annual show.

Vehicles were entered into one of four categories: survivor class, personalize and custom, special interest and restored stock, with each category further broken down by the car's time period. Members of the Old Wheels Collector Car Club judged the cars and assigned awards based on their rankings.

The event was sponsored by the Columbia Parks and Recreation Department, the Boone County Historical Society and the Old Wheels Collector Car Club.
