Missouri State Highway Patrol working to identify body found in Boonville

COLUMBIA — The Missouri State Highway Patrol is asking for help to identify the body of a young African-American female, which was found early Wednesday morning in Cooper County.

The Highway Patrol was notified of a body located on Crab Orchard Road in Boonville, according to a news release by the department.

Those with information about the identity of the victim or who were in the area in the past 24 hours, can call the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Crime Control at 751-1000 or the Cooper County Sheriff's Department at 660-882-2771.
