Rock Bridge softball defeats Battle, heads to district championship

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge High School softball team defeated Battle High School 8-2 on Thursday night. The victory improved the Bruins' record to 22-3.

Rock Bridge rode the impressive pitching performance of senior Conner Logsdon, who pitched a complete game and recorded 10 strikeouts. Junior Maddie Cole had three of Rock Bridge's 15 hits, including a two-run home run and three RBIs.

Rock Bridge is scheduled to face Hickman High School in the district championship game at 5 p.m. Friday in Sedalia.
