Hickman softball defeats Jefferson City 7-1

COLUMBIA — The Hickman High School softball team defeated Jefferson City on Thursday night by a score of 7-1.

Junior Molly Carter put in an impressive performance, driving in all seven of Hickman's runs on two 2-run home runs and one 3-run home run.

Hickman junior pitcher Shannon Greene got the win and had three strikeouts on the night.

Hickman is scheduled to face off against Rock Bridge High School in the district championship at 5 p.m. Friday in Sedalia.
