Rock Bridge tennis sweeps Timberland High School

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge girls' tennis team swept the Class 1 District 8 tournament Saturday at Timberland High School in Wentzville, Mo. The win qualified all six Rock Bridge competing players for the sectional tournament on Tuesday.

In the individual tournament, sophomore Tess Lovig and Ronni Farid won first and second place respectively. In the doubles tournament, the team of junior Phoebe Boeschen and senior Sophi Farid won first place, and senior Allison Baker and sophomore Hannah Pohl took runner-up.

The sectional tournament will be held at Francis Howell High School in St. Charles, Mo.
