COLUMBIA— The 2014 Southeastern Conference preseason poll was released Wednesday, and the Missouri Tigers are pegged to finish fifth in the 14-team league.

The Tigers' only returning starter from last season, junior guard Jabari Brown, was named 2nd-team All-SEC. He is the lone Tiger on the two preseason all-conference squads. In SEC play, Brown was Missouri's leading scorer (14.6 ppg) and ranked among league leaders in scoring (7th), free throw percentage (9th - 0.778) and three-point percentage (6th - 0.376) in conference games.

Kentucky was picked to win the conference, and Wildcats freshman Julius Randle was named SEC Player of the Year. Poll results comprise votes from a panel of league and national media members.
