COLUMBIA — The Columbia College men's basketball team was picked to be repeat American Midwest Conference champions by the 2013-14 AMC Preseason Men's Basketball Coaches Poll.

The Cougars earned 10 of 11 first place votes in the poll, with one vote going to Park University.

Columbia College finished the regular season undefeated last year (30-0), and continued the streak for five more games in the postseason before losing to LSU Sherveport 79-78 in the quarterfinals of the 2013 Buffalo Funds NAIA Division I National Championships.

The Cougars will open the season on Nov. 1 at home against St. Louis Christian College.
