Robert "Bob" Joseph Twenter, Feb. 27, 1938 — Oct. 19, 2013

Robert “Bob” Joseph Twenter, of Columbia, died Oct. 19, 2013. He was 75.

Mr. Twenter was born Feb. 27, 1938, in Columbia to Alphonse Anthony Twenter and Mary Ann Beck. He was first married to Judith Gale Turner for 18 years, and then remarried to Billie Crane. He was then partners with Jennie Harris until his death.

Mr. Twenter was a family man who loved golf, his new pickup truck and his 57 Chevy. A lifelong resident of Columbia, Mr. Twenter worked as glazier. He loved spending time with his glass-cutting friends.

Mr. Twenter is survived by his son, Robert Mark and his wife, Debra, of Columbia; his brother, Richard Allen of Columbia; two grandchildren, Rachael Renee of Lincoln, Neb., and Ryan Earl Cook of Columbia; four great grandchildren, Brittany Michelle Martin, Hadley Renee, Cara Ann Cook and Robert Earl Cook; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Twenter's son, Ronald Scott, his parents, Alphonse and Mary Twenter, and two siblings, Charles Henry and Jerry Ale, died earlier.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W.

Services will start at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the the same location. The burial will immediately follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be left to the American Cancer Society  and Columbia Manor.
