COLUMBIA — Each week, the Missourian highlights a government record that is available to the public. Open records help people keep government in check and help them better understand how government affects their lives. For a complete list of Show Me the Records, go to

The records: The most recent data tables on degrees awarded by degree type, academic unit, and ethnicity and gender provided by the MU's Institutional Research department.

Why you’d want them: The data tables break down the distribution of degrees from 2004 to 2013. Trends can be studied based on degree type, academic unit, race/ethnicity, and gender.

Where you get the records: Go to for list of degree data tables. Click on either the Microsoft Excel or Adobe PDF icon to download the data table.

How much will it cost: The information is free.
