COLUMBIA — The Missouri volleyball team moved up in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll on Monday, now slotted at No. 11 after defeating No. 2 Florida in four sets Sunday.
This is the highest ranking for the program since 2005 when the team finished the final week of the regular season at No. 8.
The Tigers are currently on the program's longest undefeated streak at 23-0, with their next match on the road against unranked LSU.
The win over Florida did not go unnoticed by the Southeastern Conference's league office. Senior setter Molly Kreklow was named SEC Player of the Week on Monday, having averaged .347 hitting with 19 digs, 97 assists and nine kills in the weekend wins over Georgia and Florida.
Kreklow is the third Missouri player in as many weeks to earn the honor along with outside hitter Lisa Henning and defensive specialist Carly Kan.
