Missouri women's soccer player named SEC Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

COLUMBIA — Missouri women's soccer forward Alyssa Diggs was named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, becoming the first Tiger to earn SEC honors in the 2013 season.

Diggs helped the Tigers (7-7-2) upset No. 7 South Carolina 2-1 on Friday by scoring the game-winning goal in the 79th minute of the match. She now has three goals on the season.

Missouri's most recent outing was a double overtime 1-1 tie with Auburn. Freshman Lauren Selaiden scored the Tigers' lone goal in the 57th minute. The Tiger, now 3-3-2 in the SEC, travel to Lexington, Ky., to face Kentucky on Friday.
