COLUMBIA — Dana Louise Coats of Columbia died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013. She was 57.
She was born March 31, 1956, in Hartford, Conn., to Raymond and Juanita Coats.
Ms. Coats is survived by a son, Daniel Coats, and his wife, Wendy, of Alamo, Calif.; a daughter, Britanny Byrd-Coats of Columbia; her fiancé, Terry Markward of Columbia; a brother, David Coats, and his wife, Teina, of O'Fallon; three sisters, Caryn Fenton, and her husband, David, of Columbia, Gayle Potter, and her husband, Cordes, of Columbia, and Christie Peyton of Moorestown, N.J.; a grandchild, Hermione Coats; eight nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
Her parents, Raymond and Juanita Coats, died earlier.
A gathering of family and friends will be from held noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Potter residence.
