Rock Bridge girls tennis takes second in state finals

Rock Bridge girls tennis took second in the team competition Saturday in the state finals at Springfield.

The Bruins defeated St. Joseph's Academy 5-4 in the semifinals, before losing to Lee’s Summit North High School 5-3 in the finals.

In the doubles tournament, Rock Bridge’s Phoebe Boeschen and Sophi Farid finished fifth, winning two matches.

Rock Bridge finishes the season with a 26-1 final record.
