Shooting near Stadium Boulevard injures two teens

COLUMBIA — Police are investigating an early Sunday shooting near Stadium Boulevard that left two teenagers injured.

According to a Columbia Police Department news release, police received multiple calls about the sound of gunshots near Stadium Boulevard and Bernadette Drive. Callers told police that they could hear cars fleeing the area after hearing the gunshots.

Officers arrived at the scene around 12:40 a.m., and shortly after, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old man were dropped off at an area hospital with gunshot wounds.

The teenagers' names are not being released, pending further investigation, and police did not have a suspect description as of Sunday morning.
