COLUMBIA — We live in a country that gives us the right to present our views — no matter what they may be.
I demonstrated for Brandon Coleman because his death prevents him from exercising his right to present his side of the issue surrounding his being shot. His side of the argument could not be made to the police, the prosecutor, a jury of his peers or the public.
I marched to protest the denial of Brandon's right to have an argument presented on his behalf. I believe we are all entitled to that right.
