Stephens volleyball wins first AMC match

COLUMBIA — Stephens College volleyball won its first American Midwest Conference match on Monday's Senior Night.

The Stars swept Harris-Stowe State University in three sets 25-21, 25-13, 25-13 improving to 6-20 overall and 1-6 in the AMC. Before Monday's win, Stephens had a seven-game losing streak at home.

Stephens' only senior, Jenna Zmyslony, had five kills, five digs and a pair of back-to-back services aces in the first set.

Stephens has two home games left in the season. They are at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 against William Baptist College and at 1 p.m. Nov. 9 against Lyon College. Both games will be played at Silverthorne Arena.
