LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Brandon Coleman's family could file civil suit

Thursday, October 31, 2013 | 6:00 a.m. CDT

After reading about the shooting of Brandon Coleman in the Missourian on an earlier date, I personally am in agreement with the decision made by Chief Prosecutor Dan Knight. However, I also respect the opinions of William E. "Gene" Robertson.

The family and friends of Brandon Coleman could enter a civil suit and by doing so, they could present B. Coleman's case in a legal document. That way,  the case would be presented to the public and possibly a jury trial. It is not difficult to start civil proceedings without a lawyer if money is an issue.
