Columbia schools open on Veterans Day; federal offices closed

COLUMBIA — The city's public schools will be open for class and garbage trucks will make their usual rounds on Veterans Day on Monday.

The holiday is not considered a city holiday in Columbia, so city offices will be open for business. Normal trash and recycling collection will take place.
