Stephens drops fourth game of season, but not by much

COLUMBIA — The Stephens College basketball team had its fourth consecutive loss to open its season Thursday, but this time the final score was close.

The Stars lost their first three games in blow-outs with scores of 44-89, 19-78 and 27-101. Thursday the Stars lost to Central Christian College of the Bible at home, but by just a six point difference, 57-63.

Sophomore guard Seleena Neel led the Stars with 22 points, and sophomore forward Dana Heggemann had 19 points.

Stephens' next game is against Missouri Valley College at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
