Columbia swimmers compete at boys high school state championships

Nine Columbia high school swimmers competed in Saturday's Missouri State High School Boys Swimming and Diving Championship in St. Peters.

As a team, Rock Bridge finished 15th in the field of 44. Matt McManus placed 5th in the 100 meter breaststroke while Michael Rhodenbaugh and Harry Stanton placed ninth and 11th, respectively. McManus, Rhodenbaugh and Stanton joined Paul Cover in the 200 medley relay team that finished 5th. Cooper John swam on a 200 meter free relay team with Rhodenbaugh, Stanton and McManus that finished 10th.

Also representing Columbia was Hickman's Jared Larson and Collin Pounds from Battle.
