COLUMBIA — Volunteers are needed for Almeta Crayton's Everybody Eats food drive on Nov. 27 and Nov. 28.

Monetary donations are welcome. Checks should be made out to Voluntary Action Center, 403A Vandiver Drive, Columbia, MO 65202. Write "Almeta Crayton's Everybody Eats" in the memo line.

Wednesday's volunteers will help prepare the food and set up the dining area. Thanksgiving Day volunteers will serve the meal from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a news release for the event.
The meal will be held at Stephens College's Stamper Commons at 1300 E. Broadway.
Food donations will be welcome. Details about where to bring donated food have not yet been announced.
The menu will include turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, green beans, macaroni and cheese, greens, cornbread, cranberry sauce, salad, chitlins, cobblers, ice cream, yogurt and pie.
This year's event is being called "Almeta Crayton's Everybody Eats." Almeta Crayton, who ran the annual food drive, died Oct. 21.
Volunteers are needed from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 27 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 28.
