COLUMBIA — In observance of Thanksgiving, Columbia city offices will be closed on Thursday, according to a news release.

City buses will not be running, and parking meters will not be enforced.

Residential refuse and recycling collection will be delayed until Friday, and Friday's collection will take place Saturday.

People with questions about holiday refuse collection can call the Solid Waste Division at 874-6291.

The city's sanitary landfill will also be closed.

The police and fire departments' administrative offices will not be open, but emergency services will still be available.

Offices will reopen Friday.

Supervising editor is Margaux Henquinet.
